Untold Tales of Blackest Night

I got a unique opportunity in the summer to illustrate a short story written by DC's Editor Adam Schlagman.  When I got the story, I learned it focused around a character I had no clue about: Animal Man.  But I was up for a challenge and I really love all of the obscure DC characters so I jumped in head first.  I got some copy's of the old Grant Morrison Animal Man runs and read through some of it to understand the characters.  I also really had fun drawing his costume because it has some great elements, like the jacket.  Plus I got the draw him as a zombie.  Here are some pencils and the AMAZING inks by Ryan Wynn.  Enjoy.

Soulfire Volume 3

Last weekend I was invited out to the New York Comic Convention in order to promote the series I am working on with Aspen Comics.  It was really cool to be on the other side of the booth, signing autographs, doing commissions and being able to meet people.  At the Aspen Panel, they announced me as the new artist on Michael Turner's Soulfire.  I'm really excited for this opportunity, and I've been working hard to really make these issue's stand out.  Michael Turner was an amazing artist and creator and to be working on one of his flagship titles is an honor.  Check out the pencils and colours for the 3 promo shots that made there debut at NYCC.
