Check out my variant for Batman Inc #3.
I did all three steps on this cover, pencils, inks and colors.

The idea was to use the Leviathan logo as the main logo for the book and have a beaten and bloodied Batman standing before it, showing the upcoming threat.  I wanted a very bright Red background so that it really stands out on the shelves!

I think it turned out well.
This peice is also for sale here!

Batman Annual #1 Ranks in top 10 of Sales in May!

This was a huge suprise for me when I saw this on Newsarama this morning.  I expected some decent sales, but not to land as the #5 best selling book for the month of May!  I can't take the credit though, as Scott and James really did an awesome job with the writing and Peter Steigerwald ruled on colors.  Im very thankful for this opportunity and blessing!

If you still haven't grabbed a copy, they are still out there!  Buy yours today either in a comic shop OR using the DC Comics app for Ipad and Iphone!

Batman Annual #1 Art Preview!

First off, I am simply blown away by the reception that the Batman Annual got this last wednesday!  So many people on facebook, twitter, and the comic sites really liked the overall product and gave it very positive reviews.  People were especially talking about the twist at the end of the book with Mr. Freeze.  I won't spoil it just incase you haven't read it yet, but you really need to grab a copy and see what Scott and James came up with.

I'll be posting a "commentary" of sorts in 2 weeks talking more in depth about some of the art in the book, my approach and ideas behind the book as well.  But for now, here are a few line art drawings to hold you off.
